Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Autoline DMS System (ERP in Automotive industry) in the area of System Maintenance, Data/ Report Generation, Migration, Enhancements, KForms Design, User Acceptance Test and User Administration
- Problem solving for existing in-house developed systems to ensure application availability and stability.
- Provide training and ad-hoc technical supports on various IT systems to users when required
- Coordinate with internal department and negotiate with outside vendors on IT projects
- Work closely with application team including system analysis and design, implementation, system upgrade, data migration and testing
- Responsible for project delivery including planning, executing & monitoring and control of project activities and resources
- Liaise and analyze user requirements with different project teams to provide business solutions
- Coordinate activities in SDLC of IT projects to ensure meeting quality and schedule
Issue Resolution
- To liaise with business managers to understand business requirements and transform those to definite configurations.
- To understand business needs of the system and make all possible efforts to transfer this understanding to action and ensure system utilization takes place.
- To participate in discussion, Blueprint, Training, Testing and Data Migration work for the implementation of ADP Autoline and process improvements.
- To be able to support financial users in their functional/MIS/posting table modification requirements and any related technical issues
- Strong knowledge of Autoline Business Intelligence Module BI and experienced with its implementation
- Lead IT projects related to Autoline in a cross functional team environment ensuring objectives are met and preparing all necessary documentations as per required standards.
- Act as second level support of all Autoline issues that were not solved the support service team and educate the team on how to solve such new problems to minimize the number of calls that get directed to him/her.
- Full understanding and experience with Data & tables structures in the Autoline/Kerridge system
- Train users on the Autoline system whenever is requested and to activate the train-the-trainer program.
- Creation of companies and mappings in the Autoline System.
- Proactive in terms of business acumen and attempts to provide business with solutions in advance to enhance the business as a whole.
- Ability to comprehend problems and analyze needs, and explain complex scenarios with simplicity.
- Demonstrates an excellent leadership, time management, organizational and reporting skills.
System Support
- Maintain and Operate the Linux Computer Operating System in order to ensure that it functions efficiently in supporting the installed major system infrastructures.
- Carry out Performance Tuning to improve and enhance system performance.
- Resolve issues and downtimes, as and when they occur, ensuring minimal interruption to the users of the system(s).
- Carry out upgrades, updates, patches and configuration changes in the system on a timely manner while ensuring minimal interruptions or disruptions to the system during its application.
Ad Hoc Projects
- Carry out Ad Hoc Projects and Activities, as and when requested by the Line Manager, in order to provide the deliverables and targets.
- Carry out Ad Hoc Project and Activities within the defined timelines and deliverables.
- Provide feedback to the requester on issues and status of the Ad Hoc Project or Activity.
- When the Ad Hoc Activity shall impact the delivery of other responsibilities and KRA; communicate to the requestor for his reference and action.
People Management
- Oversee and monitor the application team to ensure its timely project/task completion within the specifications/ details obtained from the end user.
- Provide an environment for the Team to encourage and promote knowledge and skills development.
- Conduct staff appraisals to assess and improve effectiveness in meeting current and future needs of the team.
- Create a coaching and mentoring environment and encourage teamwork between the staff in order to improve team performance and people development.
- Share knowledge and experience with the team(s) and provide feedback, guidance and assistance.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other IT related Degree.
- Advanced knowledge of systems administration, and in-depth experience in a mixed computing environment. This includes being able to specify, implement and document best-practices standards for systems administration related to backups, architecture, security, high-availability solutions, monitoring and procedures.
- Hands-on experience working with VMware, Windows Server 2003/2008 and VPN
- Proven experience administering Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS
- Hands-on experience patching desktops/laptops/servers
- Proficiency in Windows 2008/2012 Operating Platforms, SAN/NAS Storage, Backup and Recovery, and Server Virtualization Technologies .
- Be expected to demonstrate their knowledge of managing Linux and Windows systems in a business environment
- possess a strong awareness of network/security best practices
- Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with demonstrated track record of generating useful documentation.
- Keen awareness of system vulnerability.
