Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical drawings and plans from conceptual designs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards and building codes.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and translate them into visual representations.
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to create 2D and 3D models, making necessary revisions and adjustments throughout the design process.
- Prepare comprehensive technical packages, including specifications, material lists, and construction details for projects.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and verify existing conditions, ensuring designs reflect real-world constraints.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and design software to improve efficiency and design quality.
- Assist in the selection of materials and finishes, providing technical expertise and recommendations.
- Participate in design reviews and meetings, providing technical input and contributing to problem-solving and optimization.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Diploma or Associate's Degree in Drafting, Design, or a related field; a Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
- Demonstrates proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.) with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience.
- Holds relevant certifications such as Certified Drafter or similar, showcasing commitment to professional development.
- Has experience in the [Specify Industry, e.g., Architecture, Engineering, Manufacturing] industry, showing a grasp of industry-specific practices.
- Offers a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a drafting or design role, demonstrating practical application of skills.
