Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Draftsman – Electrical produces accurate electrical shop drawings, single-line diagrams, and coordination drawings for LV power, lighting, and ELV systems on UAE villa and building construction projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare electrical shop drawings including distribution boards, cable routing, lighting layouts, earthing, and containment systems.

  • Draw single-line diagrams, schematic wiring drawings, and panel schedules.

  • Coordinate with Mechanical and Plumbing draftsmen to produce clash-free integrated services drawings.

  • Revise drawings in response to RFIs, design changes, and site variations.

  • Produce as-built documentation reflecting final installed conditions.

  • Ensure drawings comply with DEWA, SEWA, and UAE Civil Defence standards.

  • Maintain drawing register and ensure accurate version control.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Drafting.

  • 5–8 years of electrical drafting experience with a UAE MEP contractor.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical (mandatory); Revit MEP is an advantage.

  • Good understanding of LV, ELV systems, and UAE authority electrical standards.
