Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop comprehensive site plans, including grading, planting, and hardscape layouts, considering all project requirements.
  • Collaborate with landscape architects, project managers, and clients to refine designs and address any potential issues.
  • Conduct site visits to gather data, verify existing conditions, and ensure design feasibility.
  • Prepare construction documents, such as material lists, specifications, and installation details, for efficient project execution.
  • Revise and update drawings based on feedback, changes, and as-built conditions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Select appropriate irrigation components and materials, optimizing water efficiency and system performance.
  • Stay abreast of current trends, technologies, and software advancements in landscape design and irrigation practices.
  • Manage and organize drawing files, revisions, and project documentation, maintaining a clear and accessible database.
  • Ensure all designs comply with local codes, regulations, and industry best practices, minimizing potential delays.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to translate concepts into precise drawings that reflect design intent and functionality.
  • Create detailed irrigation and landscape plans using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
  • Review and revise designs based on feedback from project stakeholders, ensuring all modifications are accurately documented.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation, including revisions and version control for all drafts.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Drafting Technology or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in design principles.
  • Has 2-5 years of experience in the landscape or irrigation industry, with a proven track record of successful projects.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in architectural or engineering drafting, showcasing a proven track record.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks, essential for creating intricate designs.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes relevant to drafting, ensuring compliance in all projects.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of irrigation systems, including hydraulics, water pressure, and component functionality.
