Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create detailed technical drawings and plans for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with architects and engineers to translate conceptual designs into precise construction documents.
  • Utilize CAD software to produce 2D and 3D models, optimizing designs for functionality and manufacturability.
  • Revise and update drawings based on feedback from project managers and stakeholders, maintaining version control.
  • Conduct site visits to gather measurements and assess existing conditions, ensuring designs are practical and feasible.
  • Prepare project documentation, including specifications, schedules, and material lists, to facilitate smooth project flow.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations, identifying potential issues before they arise.
  • Assist in the coordination of project timelines and deliverables, helping to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
  • Maintain an organized archive of all drawings and documents, enabling easy access and reference for future projects.
  • Provide support during the construction phase by answering queries and resolving issues related to the drawings.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A degree in drafting, architecture, or engineering technology is preferred to ensure a solid foundation in design principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks is essential for producing high-quality technical drawings.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience demonstrates a solid understanding of drafting practices and standards.
  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations specific to the region ensures compliance and project viability.
