Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create precise technical drawings and plans using CAD software that meet project specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to transform conceptual designs into workable blueprints, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.
  • Review and revise drawings based on feedback from clients or project stakeholders, adapting to changing requirements effectively.
  • Maintain organized records of all technical drawings, revisions, and project documentation for easy access and reference.
  • Conduct site visits to gather information and ensure that designs comply with local building codes and regulations.
  • Ensure that all drawings are completed within project timelines and budgets, demonstrating strong time management skills.
  • Assist in training junior draughtsmen or interns, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster professional development within the team.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in drafting, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous projects.
  • A diploma or degree in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field is essential for a solid foundation in design principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, is a must for creating detailed and accurate drawings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, is necessary for collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to address design challenges and propose innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • A proactive attitude towards continuous learning and professional development in the field of drafting.
