Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Drilling Engineer
Main responsibilities:
- Estimate drilling costs and timelines.
- Define technical specifications for each drilling phase.
- Determine hydraulic and mechanical parameters to optimise work progress.
- Review technical drilling records and implement necessary improvements.
- Outline the various phases of well drilling.
- Conduct tests during drilling operations.
- Study the optimisation of drilling parameters, considering statistics from previously completed wells.
- Carry out any other tasks assigned by their manager, related to the structure's activities.
- Optimise well completion time while adhering to safety regulations.
- Optimise the use of equipment and materials in well construction.
Skills and experience required:
- University degree (Bac+5) in drilling or production engineering.
- Relevant work experience in the sector.
- Strong command of HSE standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in computer tools.
- Ability to analyse, synthesise and take initiative.
- Proactive mindset and capacity for anticipation.
- Fluency in English; French is desirable.
