Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods to designated locations, adhering to traffic regulations and safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify and address any mechanical issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules to optimize route efficiency and accountability.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to provide updates on delivery status and resolve any potential issues promptly.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or transportation is a plus.
- Valid heavy vehicle driver's license and a clean driving record with no major violations.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in heavy-duty driving, ideally within the freight or logistics sector.
- Familiarity with GPS systems and mapping software to navigate efficiently and effectively.
