Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Pickup Driver to join our team. The Pickup Driver is responsible for collecting goods or materials from specified locations and delivering them to designated destinations in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and good knowledge of local routes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick up and deliver goods, documents, packages, or materials to and from clients, vendors, or warehouse locations.
  • Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring items are secure and undamaged.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules, adjusting as necessary for traffic or weather conditions.
  • Ensure all pickup and delivery documentation is accurately completed and signed.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle issues promptly.
  • Adhere to all company policies, traffic laws, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the assigned vehicle.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to confirm schedules and resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • Valid UAE driver’s license.
  • Proven experience as a delivery or pickup driver preferred.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and work in various weather conditions.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Desired Candidate Profile

Working Conditions:

  • May involve early morning, evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.
  • Work is primarily conducted on the road with some time at the warehouse or client locations.
  • Physical work including lifting, loading, and unloading.
