Job SummaryThe household is seeking a reliable, experienced full-time driver to provide safe, punctual and discreet transport for family members and household staff based in Abu Dhabi. The role includes vehicle care and basic maintenance, coordination with household schedules, and occasional assistance with errands and light household tasks. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent driving skills, strong knowledge of local roads and protocols, and a commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct.

Key Responsibilities

Driving & Passenger Care• Operate assigned vehicle(s) safely and in accordance with local traffic laws and household guidelines.• Transport family members, guests and household staff to appointments, school, work, social events and other destinations punctually and courteously.• Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle, securing child seats and handling luggage or shopping as required.• Maintain a professional, discreet and courteous manner when interacting with family members and visitors.

Vehicle Maintenance & Safety• Perform routine checks on tyres, oil, coolant, lights and other vehicle systems; report any defects promptly to the household point of contact.• Keep vehicle(s) clean and tidy, both inside and out; arrange professional cleaning and servicing as required.• Ensure all vehicle documents (registration, insurance, permits) are valid and stored securely.• Follow safe driving practices, seatbelt policies and child safety procedures; carry out basic first aid if required until professional help arrives.

Scheduling & Coordination• Coordinate daily schedules with the household’s main point of contact to ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs.• Plan routes proactively to avoid delays, taking account of traffic, weather and event schedules.• Be prepared to work flexible hours, including occasional early starts, evenings or weekends, and to adapt to changing household needs.

Errands & Household Support• Run errands such as grocery shopping, courier drop-offs/collections and bank visits as directed by the household.• Assist with light household tasks related to transportation (e.g., collecting dry cleaning, vehicle paperwork).• Support other household staff when required, maintaining clear communication and teamwork.

Professional Standards & Confidentiality• Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion at all times regarding the family’s personal information and daily routines.• Demonstrate punctuality, reliability and a calm, courteous demeanour under pressure.• Adhere to household policies, health and safety procedures and any security protocols in place.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Essential• Valid UAE driving licence appropriate for the vehicle(s) to be driven.• Minimum 3 years’ professional driving experience, preferably within private households or with high-net-worth clients.• Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi roads, routes and local regulations.• Clean driving record and good understanding of vehicle maintenance basics.• Good command of English (spoken and written); additional languages advantageous.• Right to work in the UAE and ability to pass relevant background checks.

Desirable• Defensive driving or advanced driving qualification.• Familiarity with chauffeur standards and experience driving VIPs.• Basic first aid qualification and knowledge of emergency procedures.• Experience with vehicle fleet management or minor mechanical skills.

Other• Willingness to work flexibly and to the scheduling requirements of a private household.• Professional presentation and adherence to household uniform or dress code when required.
