Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Safely operate various types of vehicles while adhering to traffic laws and company policies, ensuring passenger and cargo safety at all times.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and trip reports, documenting mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Plan efficient routes using GPS and mapping tools, optimizing travel time and reducing fuel costs while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
  • Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling and storage to prevent damage and meet delivery timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members, providing timely updates on delivery status and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding customer service, presenting a professional demeanor and fostering positive relationships with clients.
  • Stay informed about local traffic laws, regulations, and best practices, actively pursuing ongoing training and development in safe driving techniques.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant driving experience, preferably in a commercial or delivery setting.
  • Familiarity with local and regional roadways, enhancing route planning and navigation efficiency.
  • Proficient in using GPS systems and navigation apps, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi, with additional languages considered a plus, helps in communicating effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds
