Job Purpose
The job holder is responsible for The job holder is responsible for responsibility to assist in the smooth management and effective planning of all operational functions within the department in line with the targets and KPIs. To develop and continually improve overall standards, service levels and staff within the section. Key follow-up areas based on the four main areas of cost, service, compliance and people.
Years and Type of Experience
Minimum 10-12 of years’ experience in Inflight services / inflight catering.
Knowledge in food safety, quality, and hygiene

Knowledge of handling bonded warehouse, chillers, and Freezers

Computer literate with MS Office, SAP (word, excel, power point).

An understanding of lean management.

Analytical skills, communication, financial and budgetary knowledge.

Capable of working with a variety of counterparts at all levels, from internal department heads/shop floor to customers/GM level.

Ability to undertake and successfully achieve dedicated projects within the airline catering umbrella and good man management skills.

Based within the operations department in a demanding and pressurized work environment.

Working within a time constrained and high demanding environment, interacting with both internal and external customers daily.

Keys focus areas are – safety and compliance, cost, quality, service and on time performance. Pivotal

role and link between numerous internal departments.

Responsible for directly overseeing and ensuring the departmental hours are in line with the set monthly and yearly targets, assist Airline services manager where necessary with the review, planning, managing and oversee the departmental capital expenditure, operational expenditure, and consumable.
