Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the e-commerce platform, ensuring product listings, categories, and promotional pages are up-to-date and optimized for conversions.
  • Ensure product descriptions, pricing, images, and specifications are accurate and compelling to maximize customer engagement and sales.
  • Regularly audit the e-commerce site for functionality, usability, and performance issues, ensuring a seamless customer experience across all devices.

Sales & Performance Analysis

  • Analyze e-commerce performance data to track key metrics such as conversion rates, average order value, cart abandonment, and customer retention.
  • Monitor sales performance across different product categories and campaigns, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the digital marketing team to develop strategies that optimize traffic, sales, and product visibility.

Product and Content Strategy

  • Collaborate with product and content teams to create promotional campaigns, including sales, discounts, and special offers, to drive traffic and increase conversions.
  • Manage and optimize content for product pages, landing pages, and blogs, ensuring that SEO best practices are followed for improved organic visibility.
  • Support the development of product launches and seasonal campaigns, aligning product offerings with market trends and customer demand.

Customer Experience & Engagement

  • Improve the customer journey on the e-commerce site by streamlining the purchase process, improving product discovery, and enhancing site navigation.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to address issues related to product listings, shipping, returns, and customer feedback, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize customer feedback and website analytics to propose website improvements and optimize the user experience.

Digital Marketing & Traffic Generation

  • Work with the digital marketing team to execute paid search, email marketing, and social media campaigns designed to drive traffic to the online store.
  • Optimize product pages and categories for SEO, ensuring that all products are easy to find on search engines.
  • Track and report on the performance of paid digital marketing campaigns, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and retargeting efforts, to maximize ROI.

Inventory & Order Management

  • Coordinate with inventory management and fulfillment teams to ensure product availability and timely order processing.
  • Monitor stock levels, identify products at risk of going out of stock, and manage backorders.
  • Ensure that product availability and pricing are accurately reflected on the e-commerce platform in real time.

A/B Testing & Optimization

  • Conduct A/B testing on product pages, checkout flow, and site features to identify opportunities for improving conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with the web development team to implement changes and optimizations based on test results and customer behavior.
  • Continuously monitor website performance and implement best practices for improving site speed, mobile responsiveness, and user experience.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct competitive research to stay up to date with market trends, pricing strategies, and industry innovations.
  • Analyze competitor websites, promotional strategies, and product offerings to ensure the company s e-commerce site remains competitive.
  • Provide recommendations for new product categories or features based on market demand and consumer preferences.

Desired Candidate Profile

The E-Commerce Specialist is responsible for optimizing the online shopping experience and driving sales for the company s e-commerce platform. This role involves managing product listings, analyzing sales performance, collaborating with marketing teams to execute digital campaigns, and improving the customer journey. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of e-commerce strategies, digital marketing, and website optimization, combined with an analytical mindset to drive business growth and improve online performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Business, E-Commerce, or a related field.
  • 2 4 years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or online retail.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or similar.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Excel, and reporting/dashboard tools for data analysis.
  • Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO) and A/B testing.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with CMS (Content Management Systems) and web design principles.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and third-party integrations (payment gateways, shipping providers, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for minor website updates.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
