Job Description:
An urgent and exciting opportunity for a luxury property opening October 2019.
FULL DESCRIPTION
Our client is the first luxury boutique hotel in the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia with 134 rooms and suites and is currently seeking an experienced EAM
Rooms who will be fully responsible for the Front Office, Concierge,
Housekeeping and Spa of the hotel, ensuring the guest service pertaining to the
sense of arrival, stay and departure is of the upmost and highest of standards,
whilst appropriately scheduling employees based on occupancy and achieving
financial budgets.
THE ROLES AND
QUALIFICATIONS
A high level of
attention to detail for the quality and presentation of employees and room
product, so as to ensure exceptional guest experiences driven by imagination
and consistency. To lead and train a multi-cultural team, by showing
inspirational leadership and creating self motivation.
Specific role
responsibilities but not limited to:
FRONT OFFICE
To ensure
the guest sense of arrival and departure are key focus and touch points
regarding service
To produce
constant improvement in guest experience satisfaction metrics
To play a
hands on role with checking guests in and out of the hotel and cleaning rooms
in the case of urgent guest arrivals
To maintain
high visibility with employees and guests
To maintain
up to date and detailed guest profiles and preferences
To develop
and maintain an ever improving Family/Children program
To develop
and maintain an ever improving Nationally program
To develop
and maintain with the assistance of F&B and ever improving creative guest
amenities program
To take
charge in a friendly manner of all guest complaints, reviews and recoveries by
ensuring appropriate follow up to exceed guests expectations and response
within 48 hours
To take
charge of the installation and updating of Opera
To have a
full application understanding of Opera, HotSos, Rex, and Rooms Manage System
To monitor
proper operation of the PBX console and Switchboard agents
To ensure
the Business Centre is maintained in a clean and fully equipped manner at all
times with the latest technology available
To liaise
with external contractors, such as Airport Arrivals, Transportation, Florist,
and Laundry to ensure service and quality standards are met at all times
To prepare
the departmental budget that correctly reflects the hotel s business plan
To maintain
correct procedures for hotel accounting, credit control and handling of
financial transactions, and supply inventory
To actively
participate in the Revenue and Credit meetings
To
coordinate and oversee the Hotel Duty Manager program and ensure all guest
issues are resolved and every shift has a qualified trained MOD to oversee
hotel operations
HOUSEKEEPING
To oversee hotel
room quality by ensuring standards are met to maintain quality cleanliness and
product ratings
To inspect
all VIP rooms and Suites prior to the arrival of guests
To conduct
regular guest room walkthrough with the Executive Housekeeping and Director of
Engineering and ensure the preventive maintenance program is properly executed
To ensure
all guests requests during the stay are recorded and actioned timely and
accurately
To ensure
the excellence in appearance of all public areas throughout the hotel including
floral arrangements
To ensure
Housekeeping productivity is in line with the budget based on occupancy levels
To
coordinate the laundry operation and employee uniforms in the hotel
To assist
all department heads in questions related to housekeeping and ensure at all
times there is a transparent, smooth and healthy working relationship with all
Operating departments, particularly Maintenance and F&B
To maintain
adequate and required pars of all supplies (printed, guest supplies, guest
requests, administration)
SPA
To ensure
the cleanliness of the Spa (swimming pool, gym, treatment rooms, barber) at all
times
To ensure
Therapists productivity is in line with the budget based on treatments
To develop
new treatments that are in line with our guests needs
CANDIDATE
PROFILE
Eligible applicants must
have either 2 years experience as a Director of Rooms/Rooms Division Manager
OR 4 years experience as a Front Office Manager in a 5 star hotel and meet at
least two of the following prerequisites:
1.
Previously
worked in the Middle East
2.
Previously
been involved in a Hotel opening
3.
Previously
managed Housekeeping
