Early Years Curriculum & Quality Assurance Specialist
Major Responsibilities:
Lead on the continued development of the curriculum, in partnership with Education Consultants, to ensure the curriculum framework remains innovative and is based on international best practice in the development of early learning and child development
Work in partnership with the Centre Manager and the Marketing Team, to ensure that the curriculum content and pedagogical methodology is effectively positioned and communicated to market, to ensure that the nursery is recognised as a leader in the early education sector
Carry out nursery tours with potential new parents, to showcase the impact that learning and curriculum that has been developed can have on children"s learning and progress
Lead on the training and development of the staff team, designing and delivering an effective training calendar including the ongoing development and embedding of the curriculum and assessment processes, to ensure the team are delivering outstanding practice at all times
Support the Centre Manager in ensuring that mandatory training is undertaken by the team and arrange for additional training, as and when required
Assist the Centre Manager, whilst working collaboratively with the teaching team, in the supervision of planning for inquiry based learning, to effectively deliver the curriculum and embed the inquiry - led approach
Assist the Centre Manger with the planning of the nursery schedules and prepare communication relating to the curriculum for staff and parents on a regular basis
Work in partnership with the Centre Manager, to ensure that the nursery maintains the required level of resourcing to enable effective inquiry based learning and teaching through the curriculum framework for all children
Support the Centre Manage, to respond to parent"s questions and concerns, in a timely manner and ensure that parents are authentically engaged in their children"s learning, development and care plans
Assist the Centre Manager with all recruitment of teaching and support staff for the nursery
Support, monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning and standards of achievement of all children at the nursery, through appropriate methods in partnership with Education Consultants, using outcomes to inform further professional development and/or support for team members
Ensure that all children"s records are up to date and that assessments are being completed by the staff team, within the required timeframes
Work with all staff to ensure that there is effective and ongoing liaison with parents, regarding the care of their children and ensure a smooth induction into the nursery for new children and parents
Ensure sound Childcare Policies and Procedures are embedded into the setting, are regularly updated and are accessible to both parents and staff
To take on teaching responsibilities across the nursery age range, as and when required, including being "class based" when occupancy requires it
Establish and maintain an environment that promotes and ensures good teaching, effective learning, high standards of achievement, high expectations of children"s learning and behavior and emphasizes the well-being of all children and staff
Promote extra-curricular activities in accordance with the philosophy and core values of the nursery
Ensure the safeguarding of all children at all times
Essential Criterial:
Degree in Early Years or equivalent early years qualification with UK experience
Proven recent track record in early years/nursery curriculum and learning leadership
Secure knowledge and understanding of child development, 0-5
Demonstrable understanding and experience of teaching through an inquiry based approach
Ability to respond to the demands of high profile, premium tier, client groups
Candidates should have a Bachelors degree in Education/Early Years, or a CACHE Level 3 qualification. It is also important they have knowledge and experience in inquiry-based learning.
Candidates should be prepared to travel to branches across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
A tax free inclusive package ranges from AED20000 to AED25000. No dependents.
