As an Echo Cardiographer, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare sector, utilizing non-invasive imaging to assess and identify various heart conditions in patients. Your expertise with echocardiography technology will aid in obtaining clear images of the heart's movements and its blood flow, helping doctors diagnose and treat cardiac problems. Empathy and attention to detail are critical as you work directly with patients and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals. You will engage in critical thinking and demonstrate technical proficiency to produce quality diagnostic images. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive echocardiogram tests utilizing the appropriate ultrasound equipment.
• Interpret echocardiographic results to assist physicians in diagnosing cardiac conditions.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during echocardiography procedures at all times.
• Maintain high quality of echocardiographic images and adhere to established protocols.
• Stay updated on echocardiogram technologies and integrate advancements in practice.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care.
• Provide detailed documentation of echo scan results for further medical evaluation.
• Communicate effectively with patients about procedures, addressing any concerns.
• Complete thorough patient histories and enter accurate data into health records.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and hospital policies consistently.
• Assist in the training of new staff members in using echocardiography equipment.
• Contribute as an active participant in case discussions and departmental meetings.

Requirements

• Certification in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography from a recognized board or institution.
• A minimum of two years of experience working as an Echo Cardiographer is preferred.
• Proficiency in using echocardiography machines and other cardiac imaging equipment.
• Strong understanding of human anatomy, specifically cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret diagnostic results accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to handle high-stress conditions and manage time effectively in a clinical setting.
