Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As an Engine Product Manager, you will be responsible for the Coordination of the entire Engine Overhaul Process in aspects of Turn Around Time (TAT), Safety/Compliance and Cost/Revenue to ensure that they are aligned with internal and regulatory standards.
In this role, you will:
- Responsible for Engine-TAT, Product Cost, Safety and Compliance as well as the functional leadership of Gate-TAT and make recommendations for Resource optimization to the Manager Operations.
- Monitor all Gate Processes with the help of an efficient Key Performance Indicator (KPI) System in place i.e. operational, Financial, compliance ,safety and pre-emptively address and escalate all deviations that would impact TAT cost and safety wise with all the relevant stakeholders.
- Organize and perform pre input production meetings to ensure full induction support and identify all necessary data, requirements and address escalations accordingly.
- Monitor all the relevant safety and compliance regulations are being followed and immediately address any deviations and escalate them accordingly through the internal procedures in place.
- Liaise with all relevant stakeholders internally, externally and maintain an adequate and factual collaboration with them. Coordinate effectively between Production and Support Functions of Emirates Engine Maintenance Centre (EEMC) as well with Customer and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).
- Liaise with the Planning Department to ensure Workload-Capacity distribution to make sure that the operational requirements are met.
- Responsible for complex problem solving and decision making situations to ensure that all Work in Progress (WIP) engines achieve assigned TAT and the Product Cost are met.
- Liaise with Manager Operation to effectively handle any disruption and deviations from the plan.
Desired Candidate Profile
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering and/or B1 Aircraft Maintenance License or equivalent
- 8+ years of experience in MRO business, preferably Power Plant with minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory role
- Detailed knowledge of Engine Overhaul Process
- Profound technical knowledge
- Project Management and LEAN Techniques
- Conflict communication management and negotiation skills
- High resilience and stress resistance
- Basic financial understanding
