Roles & Responsibilities

As a Production Planning Engineer at EEMC, you will monitor and control plan works on Emirates and/or Customer Engines that are inducted into Emirates Engine Maintenance Center (EEMC) for any type of work and to ensure a smooth, efficient, and cost-effective workflow through its respective EEMC visit.

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate with customer on timely deliveries of engines, engine modules, engine piece part from external repair vendors and establish a long term forecast of serviceable engines level based on the engine removal plan.
  • Manage and control Engine modules and piece part to maintain Engine technical & commercial requirements in order to maintain continuity of material supply to complete gate 2.
  • Participate in meeting which include Engine Technical Coordination Meeting, Engine Overhaul Shop Meeting, Work Scope Planning Guide Meeting, Initial Provisioning Meeting with representatives from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and repair vendors in order to keep abreast with current in-service experience, developments, shop experience and reliability enhancement programs where such information may be adopted within EEMC. Assess work-scope from customer, list key work drivers and risks to TAT compliance.
  • Review performance of in-house Engine Shop of their repair Turnaround Time and identify areas of weakness and provide corrective actions.
  • Review Procedures and Processes pertaining to Production Planning, Material Planning & Logistics and perform internal audits within the section to identify areas of weaknesses and discrepancies and provide corrective actions to line manager for review and approval.
  • Manages effective achievement of unit goals through managing by setting individual goals, managing performance, developing, training and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximise subordinate performance.
  • Create and promote a safe working environment for all staff ensuring direct reports have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to work safely in alignment with EEMC Safety policy, provide support and direction. Be a role model for the desired safety behaviours and always lead with safety. Ensure reporting any non-conformance in safety and quality immediately via company procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Licensed Aircraft Engineer (preferably Engine)
  • 8+ years of experience working in Aviation in the field of Engineering (Maintenance or Production Planning) or Third Party Engine MRO with 5 years as an Engineer in Maintenance or Production Planning.
  • Knowledge in Civil Aviation, Airworthiness Requirements and Regulations, Maintenance & Design Organisation and Certification.
  • Knowledge of Engine Maintenance philosophy, Engine/engine module, piece part repairs, Contracts and Warranty, Engineering Planning & Production Control.
