Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

-Design for EHV 132kV/220kV/330kV/400kV Circuit Breaker LCC panels, including control, protection, interlocking, logic diagrams, supervision, and communication systems.

-Ensure strict compliance with IEC 62271, IEC 61850, IEC 60044, 16-SAMSS, SEC NG standards, and client technical specifications.

-Define design philosophy for trip circuits, close circuits, redundancy logic, supervision schemes, fail-safe operation, and alarm philosophy.

-Prepare electrical architecture for LCC panels, including:

a. Single Line Diagrams (SLD)

b. Schematic diagrams

c. Wiring diagrams

d. Terminal schedules

-IO assignments & interlocking logic

-Interface with breakers (SF6 / GIS), protection relays, RTU, SCADA, SAS and IEC 61850 systems.

-Attend technical design reviews, risk assessments, and resolution of design deviations.

-Supervise and mentor Draftsmen across all grades.

-Coordinate with Mechanical Design team for layout, enclosure design, heat dissipation and cable entry integration.

-Participate in FAT, SAT, client inspections and technical audits.

-Implement continuous design improvement and standardization strategy.

Desired Candidate Profile

Has been working in a reputed manufacturing company for EHV LCC panels (5 to 12 years experience)

-AutoCAD / EPLAN proficiency

-Understanding of EHV substation control systems

-IEC 61850 basics

-Strong documentation capability

Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering
