Looking for a Lead Engineer to be based in Sharjah. The incumbent should have a min. of 20+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering out of min 8~10 years as Lead Engineer, leading the Electrical Power System Studies for Oil and Gas / Power Plant Projects. Must hold Masters / Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with Electrical Power Systems being the major subject. Highly proficient, advanced user of ETAP / PSCAD network simulation software will be preferred. Should have a broad technical knowledge combined with excellent leadership skills.

•Competent at managing and leading an Engineering Team to carry out electrical power system study using latest version of ETAP with 5000 bus module.

•Ability to perform power system study and analysis of the complex power network having 132kV Power supply from Grid / GTG’s, 132/33kV Power Transmission lines, 33/11/6.6kV Ring main distribution system, receiving oil and gas Producing/Compression/Cluster Pumping Stations etc. following standard methods and principles.

•Guide the team involved in Load Flow, Short circuit, Motor Starting & Transient Stability, Relay protection & Coordination, Arc Flash, Grid supply ampacity/capacities of the oil and gas power system network.

•Responsible for site survey, data and information gathering from the various site / multi parties involved in the project.

•Manage client expectations through regular communications and coordination with various Power Supply Agencies, Ministry of Energy officials and other stake holders of the project.

•Familiar with Distribution systems reliability analysis, Conduct Reliability & Maintenance workshops to identify current equipment / system failures, capacity constraints, defective equipment & known vulnerabilities at Site with site representatives.

•Lead the Survey team, with regular site visits for surveying the site electrical system, identify risks and conduct risk assessment. To understand known vulnerabilities both operational and safety related in the existing power system network and provide recommendations in line with stake holders requirements.

•Must be familiar with Electrical system audit and Rank known/unknown vulnerabilities of the electrical power system equipment for follow up action.

•Review the system studies and Prepare, review and develop detailed technical reports covering vulnerabilities, network constraints and system bottlenecks/limitations and development opportunities with recommendations.

•Mentor, coach and develop Senior / junior engineers.

•Should have considerable Brownfield Oil and Gas Experience.
