Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop electrical design deliverables such as single line diagrams, cable routing layouts, lighting and earthing layouts, termination diagrams, and installation details for offshore platforms.
- Support engineering activities across all project phases FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detailed Design.
- Generate 2D and 3D models using Smart 3D (S3D) and integrate electrical layouts with other discipline models (piping, structure, instrumentation).
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco engineering standards, international codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC), and project-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers and other design disciplines to develop accurate and clash-free design deliverables.
- Prepare material take-offs (MTO), cable schedules, and support construction and procurement documentation.
- Participate in model reviews, inter-discipline coordination meetings, and design verification processes.
- Assist in resolving design-related queries from procurement, construction, and offshore teams.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Diploma or Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 8-15 years of experience in electrical design for offshore oil & gas projects.
- Proven experience working on Saudi Aramco offshore projects is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Smart 3D (S3D) is required; experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of offshore electrical systems including lighting, earthing, cable tray design, and hazardous area classification.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and meet tight project deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail, quality, and document control.
