As an Electrical Draftsman, you will play a pivotal role in the design and execution of electrical systems and components, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will be critical in developing detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts that guide the construction and installation of electrical systems in various projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to translate conceptual plans into accurate technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Responsibilities

• Create detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD software.
• Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and design specifications.
• Ensure all electrical drawings comply with relevant codes and standards.
• Review and revise drawings according to feedback and technical requirements.
• Maintain organized records and documentation of all electrical drafts and revisions.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance during the installation and construction phase.
• Update drawings to reflect changes in project scope or design modifications.
• Conduct field visits to gather necessary data for accurate drafting and detailing.
• Coordinate with other designers and draftsmen on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Develop and maintain CAD libraries and templates for efficient drafting processes.
• Assist in preparing project estimates by providing detailed electrical component lists.
• Communicate effectively with project teams to ensure alignment of electrical documentation.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in electrical drafting or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, for electrical design purposes.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and industry standards.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in drafting work.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of building codes, electrical safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with engineers and project stakeholders.
