Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and detailed electrical shop drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Perform MEP coordination with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, structural, and interior design drawings to avoid clashes.

  • Create and update RCP (Reflected Ceiling Plans) with lighting layouts, fixtures, and coordination.

  • Prepare wall coordination drawings showing electrical outlets, switches, conduits, and trunking.

  • Develop as-built drawings after site completion and handover.

  • Prepare and maintain load schedules, panel schedules, and cable schedules.

  • Ensure all drawings comply with DEWA regulations, UAE standards, and project specifications.

  • Revise drawings based on consultant comments, site conditions, and RFIs/RFPs.

  • Support the electrical engineering team in preparing material submittals and shop drawing packages.

  • Maintain organized drawing registers and version control.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A relevant degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Drafting, or a related field to ensure a solid technical foundation.

  • Proven experience of 3-5 years in electrical drafting within construction, manufacturing, or similar industries to demonstrate hands-on expertise.

  • Certification in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit, to showcase proficiency in industry-standard drafting tools.

  • Familiarity with electrical codes and standards, such as NEC or IEC, to ensure compliance in design practices.

  • Experience in villa/residential projects in Dubai

  • Previous exposure to DEWA submission process
