Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems and components, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and reports for compliance and reference.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring adherence to engineering codes and regulations.
- Review, develop and/or approve mechanical designs, drawings, shop-drawings, load calculations, equipment submittals for mechanical systems in building/infrastructure projects (e.g., HVAC, chilled water systems, ducts, pumps, piping).
- Prepare and review technical drawings, schematics, and design documents.
- Coordinate with architects and other engineers to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with the architectural and structural design.
- Conduct load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection in accordance with local regulations and international standards.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements from contractors.
- Identify and resolve design and construction issues related to MEP works.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare project documentation, reports, and progress updates for management and clients.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a strong foundation in circuit theory and electromagnetic.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical design, preferably in sectors such as renewable energy or automation.
- Proven track record of working on complex projects, showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with CAD software and simulation tools, enabling effective design and analysis of electrical systems.
- Fluency in English, with additional language skills being a plus for international collaboration.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy and precision in engineering calculations and documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Willingness to travel for project sites and client meetings, showcasing flexibility and dedication to the role.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in MEP design and/or site supervision.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems (especially HVAC, piping, pumps, compressors, chillers, ductwork) and construction/installation methodologies.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant design software.
- Strong knowledge of international building codes .
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
