Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot marine and offshore electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control systems.

Ensure safe and reliable operation of generators, switchboards, transformers, motors, UPS systems, and emergency power supplies.

Carry out planned preventive maintenance PPM and corrective maintenance in accordance with class, flag state, and company standards.

Diagnose electrical faults and perform repairs on vessel/offshore equipment with minimal downtime.

Maintain and test safety-critical systems such as emergency lighting, fire detection and alarm systems, and shutdown systems.

Read, interpret, and update electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

Ensure compliance with international marine regulations and standards e.g., SOLAS, IMO, IEC, class society rules.

Support commissioning, installation, and upgrades of electrical and automation systems onboard vessels or offshore units.

Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation, and operations teams to ensure integrated system performance.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and logs using the company’s maintenance management system CMMS.

Supervise and guide electrical technicians when required.

Ensure adherence to HSE policies, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems at all times.

Participate in audits, inspections, and surveys by class and regulatory authorities.
