Electrical Engineer Roads & Infrastructure Projects Parsons Corporation Dubai, UAEbr>
Position Overviewbr>Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to join its Dubai-based infrastructure team. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, coordination, and delivery of complex electrical systems for roads, utilities, and infrastructure projects across the UAE. This role requires a strong understanding of RTA and DEWA standards, as well as the ability to manage multidisciplinary coordination and project approvals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and supervise the delivery of electrical engineering works for road and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for LV/HV systems, street lighting, and utilities.
- Review and validate contractor submissions, design proposals, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with RTA and DEWA regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and local authorities for approvals, inspections, and site execution.
- Provide technical input and guidance to CAD designers, junior engineers, and drafters to ensure consistency and quality.
- Participate in developing project schedules, budgets, and work scopes for assigned electrical packages.
- Ensure all electrical designs meet client specifications, safety codes, and local standards.
- Support the Resident Engineer and project management team during construction phases, resolving on-site electrical and coordination issues.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify electrical installations and ensure proper implementation of approved designs.
- Prepare technical reports, RTA approval documentation, and progress updates as required.
- Collaborate closely with DEWA, RTA, and other Dubai authorities for design submissions, approvals, and final commissioning.
- Ensure full compliance with Parsons quality, safety, and sustainability requirements across all deliverables.

Desired Candidate Profile
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design, supervision, and coordination for road, utility, and infrastructure projects in Dubai or the UAE.
- Strong understanding of DEWA, RTA, and Dubai Municipality (DM) approval processes and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience in traffic signal systems, street lighting, power distribution, and electrical utility integration.
- Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and interface effectively with clients, contractors, and government authorities.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electrical design software.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
