Job Description

An Electrical Foreman plays a crucial role in managing electrical projects, ensuring their successful completion on time and within budget. As a leader of a team of electricians, the Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all phases of electrical work, from planning and installation to maintenance and repair. This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and project management skills. An Electrical Foreman must ensure safety, quality, and compliance with regulations while fostering a productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the electrical trade, excellent problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.


Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians and other electrical workers.
  • Develop project schedules and allocate resources efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure electrical installations comply with safety codes and industry standards.
  • Inspect electrical systems and components to identify and rectify any issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of time, materials, and labor costs for project reporting.
  • Liaise with project managers and clients to discuss project requirements and progress.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their performance and skills.
  • Order, manage, and maintain electrical supplies and equipment inventory.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guide electrical work.
  • Conduct safety training and enforce safety protocols on the job site.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical system issues.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as an electrician, with at least 2 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team of workers.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
  • Valid journeyman or master electrician license may be required, depending on location.
  • Familiarity with electrical inspection tools and diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting.
