Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with local regulations, national
  • codes, and project specifications.
  • Verify that work is carried out in accordance with approved electrical designs.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the integrity of electrical systems.
  • Identify and address any deviations from approved plans.
  • Create detailed inspection reports outlining findings, deviations, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections.
  • Collaborate with electrical contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient inspections.
  • Provide guidance on meeting electrical requirements during construction.
  • Oversee electrical testing and commissioning activities to ensure proper functionality of systems.
  • Verify the performance of electrical components and equipment.
  • Ensure that all electrical work meets safety standards and regulations.
  • Identify and address safety hazards related to electrical installations.
  • Communicate inspection results to clients, project teams, and relevant authorities.
  • Provide guidance on addressing any non-compliance issues.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, electrical codes, and emerging technologies.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency and safety of electrical installations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Professional certification as an electrical inspector.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience at consultant in electrical inspection or a related field.
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and regulations.
  • Experience working in the construction industry, preferably in electrical installation or inspection.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and document deficiencies or violations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project managers and contractors.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, navigate construction sites, and perform inspections in various weather conditions.
