Position Overview
As an Electrical Inspector, you will conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations across urban infrastructure works. You ll verify system grounding, installation quality, and equipment compliance. From pressure testing and circuit validation to inspection of traffic signal systems and pumping stations, your role ensures that all electrical works meet safety codes, specifications, and client standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform inspection and testing of LV networks, street lighting, stormwater and sewerage systems, and traffic signals
* Validate installations against construction drawings, P&ID schematics, and regulatory requirements
* Conduct mechanical and electrical testing, including insulation, resistivity, and destructive/nondestructive methods
* Ensure proper equipment alignment, installation standards, and grounding compliance
* Monitor underground works, piping tightness, and electrical connections in infrastructure
* Participate in developing and implementing safety and quality control procedures
* Create daily inspection reports and ensure non-conformities are recorded and resolved
* Verify welder qualifications when required
* Attend site inspections with contractors, clients, and regulatory authorities

Candidate Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or 3-year diploma in Electrical Engineering
* Minimum 5 years of relevant construction inspection experience in UAE or the GCC
* Experience with DEWA/DM standards and regional infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of blueprint reading, electrical testing methods, and site inspection processes
* Clear English communication and documentation skills
* Immediate availability for in-person interviews in Dubai is a plus
