Roles & Responsibilities

Desired Candidate Profile

Key responsibilities

• Team leadership: Supervise and lead a team of technicians, coordinating work and ensuring safety and performance expectations are met.

• Maintenance and repair: Oversee and perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on systems including high/low voltage switchgear, DC power systems, and protection relays.

• System reliability: Implement electrical maintenance tasks to ensure high equipment reliability and performance.

• Testing and inspection: Perform planned and corrective maintenance, conduct surveillance tests, and maintain the accuracy of equipment data.

• Safety and compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety, regulatory, and nuclear standards to maintain safe and reliable plant operations.

• Documentation:Prepare accurate and timely reports and document equipment history.

• Outage support: Provide support during plant outages as needed, which may require shift work.

• Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for improving maintenance practices and procedures.

Required qualifications and experience

• Education:Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a Diploma with equivalent experience.

• Experience:Several years of relevant experience, including a significant amount in a power plant and specifically a nuclear power plant setting.

• Technical skills: Proficiency with a wide range of electrical equipment (e.g., switchgear, transformers, DC systems, protection relays) and the ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications is crucial.
