Electrical Lead Technician

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of electrical technicians to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate electrical installation and maintenance activities for all projects.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical problems promptly to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Liaise with engineers and project managers to design and implement electrical systems correctly.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of all electrical work and repairs conducted.
• Oversee the procurement and inventory of electrical equipment and materials required for projects.
• Train and mentor junior technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge in the electrical field.
• Provide expert guidance and support in emergency situations where electrical systems are involved.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan.
• Report regularly on project progress, challenges, and solutions to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred but not required.
• A minimum of 5 years experience as an electrical technician, with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and best practices in the industry.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues effectively.
• Proven track record of leading and managing successful electrical projects.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective team coordination.
• Proficiency in using electrical design and diagnostic tools and software.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with safety and health regulations in electrical work environments.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.
