Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Electrical Supervisor provides leadership, technical expertise, and oversight for electrical maintenance and outage activities within the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant. The primary goal is to ensure the safe, reliable, and high-quality performance of the plant's electrical systems, structures, and components in line with all nuclear safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities Supervision and leadership

• Supervise electrical technicians, managing daily work, prioritizing tasks, and handling performance issues.

• Lead the planning and execution of electrical maintenance programs.

• Conduct safety briefings to ensure safe practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

Technical expertise and support

• Oversee and perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on plant equipment.

• Provide technical support for investigations and complex issues.

• Ensure repair and calibration of electrical systems, including transformers and switchgear.

• Lead surveillance tests and technical evaluations.

• Review work procedures for safety and quality.

Safety and compliance

• Enforce safety, environmental, and security policies.

• Ensure adherence to safe electrical work practices like lockout/tagout.

Operational support

• Assist in outage management and schedule coordination.

• Collaborate with other teams for efficient work execution.

• Prepare and submit reports on maintenance status and issues.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

• Extensive experience (e.g., 5–8+ years) in electrical maintenance, preferably in a nuclear or power plant.

• Prior supervisory experience is required. Strong knowledge of nuclear safety, regulations, and industrial safety codes

• Proficiency with maintenance planning tools like SAP or Primavera.
