POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing operation, maintenance and repair of interior and exterior electrical systems in accordance with the performance work statement such as primary and secondary distribution systems, HV switchgear, transformers and receptacles, etc. The qualified candidate will work with a team of OM&R personnel to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project completion.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Shall install, inspect, maintain and repair services, HV primary/secondary feeders and branch power circuits and equipment in commercial and dwelling facilities to include electrical distribution systems such as interior and exterior lighting circuits and equipment, receptacles, motors and motor control circuits.
Shall inspect, test and repair direct buried cables as well as cables in underground ducts and conduits.
Shall inspect, operate, maintain, and repair electrical distribution at voltages that range from 120v -11KV.
Shall be able to properly use technical orders, manufacturer’s handbooks, local procedures, codes and directives to install equipment and troubleshoots malfunctions.
Shall advise on, diagnose and repair electrical power distribution and special purpose electrical systems installation malfunctions.
Shall maintain records to document lightning protection and grounding system inspections and perform pre-acceptance inspections of electrical systems, document any findings and store for future reference.
Ensures all work areas are kept clean, orderly and in a safe manner.
Follows all OSHA and NFPA safety requirements.
Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government property provided for contractor use (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).
Completes training in compliance with Vectrus, OSHA, and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements.
Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions that require wear of hard hats, gloves, steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses and other personal protection equipment (PPE); may be required to push, pull and lift heavy equipment. Use of portable or vehicle equipped radios to maintain contact and accountability of work activities.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work will be indoors and outdoors. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur. Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs. Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions. Task specific work environment training will be provided as required. Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U. S. interests. 100% Overseas Assignment.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Physical requirements include lifting up to 35lb, team lifting up to 50lbs, climbing, extended sitting, or standing, stooping, stretching, and bending.
