Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Electrician is expected to work independently on assigned tasks during the shift. Quick decisions regarding system faults, power issues, or event support must be made efficiently. Reports directly to the Assistant Facility Manager and communicates closely with Events, Engineering, and Operational departments.


  • Perform routine and corrective electrical maintenance throughout the property, including guest areas, plant rooms, kitchens, back-of-house, and landscape areas.
  • Specialize in motor control systems such as: DOL (Direct-On-Line) starters, Star-Delta starters, Forward and Reverse controls
  • Diagnose and repair faults in pumps, exhaust fans, and motors with proper safety protocols. Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair, Light fittings and control systems, Circuit breakers and distribution panel , Switches and sockets
  • Maintain daily shift reports, complete task sheets, and hand over duties to the next shift efficiently.
  • Manage and respond to calls via the shift duty mobile phone.
  • Work closely with the HVAC, AV, and housekeeping teams for daily operations and special setups.
  • Ensure all electrical systems are compliant with Dubai Municipality and DEWA standards.
  • Participate in preventive maintenance programs and maintain records.
  • Assist with temporary power setups for events as required.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions immediately.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment in the Gulf region.
  • Technical knowledge and hands-on experience with motor starters (DOL, Star-Delta, Forward/Reverse).
  • Familiarity with temporary power systems, lighting control, and DB panel maintenance.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Good spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and logging.
  • Willing to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong teamwork, punctuality, and guest-oriented behavior.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
