Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting on complex electrical issues, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to quickly identify and resolve problems.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential faults and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Execute preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, minimizing downtime and extending the lifespan of machinery.
- Install, repair, and upgrade electrical wiring, fixtures, and control equipment in various industrial and commercial settings.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement electrical modifications and improvements in line with project specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Respond promptly to emergency electrical situations, ensuring safety protocols are followed to protect personnel and property.
- Train and mentor junior electricians on best practices and safety procedures for electrical maintenance tasks.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to continually enhance skills and service delivery.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Completion of a formal electrician apprenticeship program, providing hands-on training and theoretical knowledge.
- Possession of relevant certifications such as National Electrical Code (NEC) or Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical maintenance, demonstrating a strong practical understanding.
- Preference for candidates with experience in specific industries like manufacturing, construction, or renewable energy.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute tasks accurately.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze problems and implement effective solutions under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and clear reporting of issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, ensuring compliance with all regulations and best practices.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus, especially for roles in diverse work environments.
