Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Install and configure elevators and escalators, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to identify and resolve potential issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring passenger safety.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems in elevators to restore functionality efficiently.
- Test newly installed or repaired elevators and escalators to ensure proper operation and adherence to safety codes.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in elevator technology or a related field is preferred.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program in elevator installation and maintenance, providing hands-on experience.
- Certification from a recognized body, such as the National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC), demonstrating professional competency.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an elevator technician in residential and commercial settings.
