Job Description

An Endoscopy Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating endoscopy services to ensure optimal patient care and efficient procedural operations. The Endoscopy Coordinator is responsible for overseeing scheduling, procedure preparation, and patient follow-up, ensuring that all endoscopic procedures are conducted safely and effectively. Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule endoscopy procedures in alignment with hospital policies and schedules.
  • Manage the preparation and setup for endoscopy procedures to ensure readiness and compliance.
  • Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning correctly prior to procedures.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care and procedural outcomes.
  • Maintain clear and accurate patient records, including pre- and post-procedure documentation.
  • Educate patients and families on endoscopy procedures, preparation, and post-procedure care.
  • Implement and adhere to safety protocols to guarantee the protection of both staff and patients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for endoscopy scheduling and logistical management.
  • Monitor and assess the quality of endoscopy services, suggesting improvements where necessary.
  • Participate in continuous education to stay informed of the latest endoscopy techniques and trends.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and facility policies for endoscopic procedures.
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate seamless patient experiences and efficient workflow.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting, preferably related to endoscopy.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse healthcare teams and patients.
  • Knowledge of endoscopic procedures, equipment, and patient care standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and basic computer applications.
