Engineer - Design Goltens Co. Ltd. Dubai Branch

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Engineering:
  Perform detailed engineering and design of new and retrofit piping systems, structural foundations, and equipment layouts for marine vessels and industrial sites.
  Utilize 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Cadmatic, SolidWorks) to create detailed drawings for submission to Classification Societies for approval and for production/installation.
  Work with 3D scanning data (point cloud modeling software) to verify actual conditions onboard vessels and develop precise retrofit designs.
  Prepare and update piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  Perform engineering calculations, including pressure drop, friction loss, pipe sizing, and structural analysis.
• Documentation & Compliance:
  Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation packages, including material specifications (MTO), technical reports, and drawings.
  Ensure all designs comply with the rules and regulations of major Classification Societies (e.g., DNVGL, ABS, LR, BV, NK) and other relevant international standards (e.g., ASME, API).
  Respond to and resolve comments from Classification Societies to expedite design approval.
  Provide technical and documentation support to clients, project teams, and sales staff.
• Project Support:
  Collaborate with the project management and field service teams to provide on-site engineering support during installation and testing phases.
  Study project scope, schedules, basic design data, and client specifications to develop accurate and efficient design plans.
  Liaise with customers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure design requirements are met and project timelines are adhered to.
• Quality & Safety:
  Conduct risk assessments and ensure all designs and procedures prioritize safety and environmental protection.
  Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and technical standards within the company.
