Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Provide professional support to the management team within the Division, helping to ensure high quality service delivery and a co-ordinated response to Clients;
Undertake assignments on multi-disciplinary projects within teams of civil, mechanical, process and electrical/I&C engineers, including the provision of appropriate technical and managerial services
Performing design review of all Contractor submissions such as, designs drawings, reports and material submittals related to LV and MV MCC, PLC, DCS, VMS, LV and MV Motors, transformers, detuned capacitor panels, AC/DC UPS, lightning Protection and earthing system, internal and external lighting , P&IDs, Telecommunication FOX Panels, control and Instrumentation system, FOC, CCTV and cathodic protection system.
Familiar with Electricity Distribution Directorate, Bahrain, requirements, IEE wiring regulations, IEC standards, Bahrain local regulations and pumping stations design.
Conversant with software including ETAP, Amtech, Dialux, DOC.3 etc and capable of reviewing calculations and studies submitted by contractor including load flow, short circuit, protection setting and coordination, earthing and lightning protection studies, lighting calculations, UPS and battery sizing, Motor starting and acceleration studies etc

Knowledge, skills and experience

Bachelor?s Degree in Electrical/ICA Engineering;
Minimum 7- years of engineering experience with some Middle East experience is preferable.
Significant experience on projects in water and wastewater particularly on large diameter water transmission main project.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language, with good report writing, analytical and computer skills;
IT literacy (ideally Word, Excel and Access);
Good organisational skills, accuracy and attention to details;
Good forward planning skills;
Good interpersonal and communication skills;
Ability to work on own initiative without supervision

Desired Candidate Profile
