About the role :
The objective of this role is to evaluate and design electrical installations on the site. This incumbent is further directly responsible to provides the expertise and technical support to maintain and improve the reliability of the plant.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Applying industry standards for site design needs.
• Evaluating and designing mechanical structures and solutions to the site.
• Cooperating with OEM suppliers to get optimum solutions.
• Providing and documenting technical information needed to operation and maintenance.
• Providing the expertise and technical support to maintain and improve the reliability of systems in the plant including the data gathering, failure analysis, troubleshooting and development of predictive/preventive maintenance programs for equipment.
• Continuously monitoring and analyzing equipment performance and implement measures to improve reliability and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Establishing and maintaining planned and predictive maintenance programs for equipment and set parameters for and type of maintenance performed within the programs, develop Equipment Criticality Index for site assets.
• Maintaining records of equipment histories and costs, coordinate with operations and maintenance supervisors for needed changes toward increasing reliability.
• Recommending equipment, tools, materials and spare parts.
• Leading and participating in cross-functional teams to optimize plant designs for cost-effectiveness, reliability, operability, and maintainability.
• Following industry standards and guidelines required to achieve compliance with government laws and policies and industry best practices.
• Ensuring minimal process plant downtime due to equipment failures.
• Complying with all relevant quality and HSE procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
About You:
You will ideally be required to have the following requirements:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 5 years of a related work experience in a heavy industry
• Knowledge of industry equipment reliability and data acquisition and analysis systems
• knowledge of procedures for start-up, operating routines, emergencies, routine inspection and maintenance
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent verbal and written English skills
