Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as first level of support in Service Operation Center for the Fault & alarm monitoring under incident management process for all du Transport Network that hosts/carries different systems/services in all du Data Centers/ Core/ Aggregation and points of interconnects (24/7 shifts).
  • Verification and execution of all incidents related to network operations, network automation and all other similar operational activities that support and enhance the du business systems, processes, and services.
  • Responsible for checking fault alarms about network Trouble Tickets and highlight the aging and repeated TTs for next level of escalation and resolution.
  • Not to miss any major/critical network alarm and efficiently communicate and effectively handle incidents.
  • Provide on-time support and monitoring for all issues happening in all domains since connectivity is provided through IP.
  • Perform necessary escalation and involve Second Line operations teams in a timely manner, ensuring adequate follow-up and problem resolution within contracted SLAs.
  • Perform periodic analysis of incident reports and observations to proactively prevent issues from occurring.
  • Overall responsibility of running network health check reports/queries/scripts and highlight findings.
  • Handle daily fault alarms and incidents/TTs as per du operation policies and scope of work.
  • Prepare and maintain up-to-date documentation/manuals/diagrams of existing devices/solutions to aid in incident handling and support day-to-day operation tasks related to the transport domain.
  • Ensure monitoring and analysis of vendor performance for incident handling.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation related to incidents.
  • Work on any network disasters, prepare and implement alternative plans and restore network to deliver specified service levels.
  • Support efforts for simulation and actual Disaster Recovery activities to allow successful service restoration in case of crisis.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional – CCNP (CCIE Preferred)

  • Deep knowledge of all Routing/switching Layer 3 and Layer 2 protocols, and higher layer protocols as per OSI and TCP/IP stacks.

  • Experience in ACI technology, firewall and load balancer.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Excellent understanding of security infrastructure components and building highly available computing environment.

  • Good understanding of services and systems that need to be secured like BSS/OSS solutions, mobile and fixed known services.

  • Detailed knowledge of security solutions operation techniques.

  • Exceptional customer focus internally and externally.

  • Ability to handle multiple complex problems in a highly stressful environment.
