Engineer – HVAC Drydocks World

Responsible for HVAC in Marine/ Oil & Gas projects at different stages such as Estimation, Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning in accordance of the client specification and applicable industry code with standards.

Day-to-day operations:

• Perform Heat load calculation for Air Conditioning system for Oil Rigs, Jack up vessels, offshore Platforms, Barges, Ships, Exploration & Survey vessels etc.

• Involves selection of equipment (Split AC , Package A/C, Chiller, AHU, FCU , Ventilation fan, Pumps, etc.), design of ducting, design of chilled water piping, selection of pumps, valves, etc.

• Reviewing vendor data sheets for approval/comments prior submitting to the client.

• Carry out design in-consideration with various heat generating / transmitting / equipment /material with the aid of cooling Load Estimation software (Carrier HAP latest version).

• Design of Air-conditioning ie; DX system and chilled water system.

• Pipe design and pipe sizing, static pressure calculations & selection of grilles & diffusers.

• Duct design & duct sizing in accordance with ISO standards, EU regulations, SMACNA guide and DW144 for ductwork specification & fabrication procedures.

• Involves in estimation for all the HVAC related enquiries and to support for Bid submission. .

• Preparation of HVAC Design philosophy, HVAC Control Philosophy, Pre Commissioning & Commissioning procedure, Interface Schedule for F&G and Platform Control System, HVAC Consolidated MTO, I/O Point Schedule and Cause & Effect for HVAC Controls.

• Preparation of Chilled water/ Condenser water P&ID, Instrument air P&ID, Flow diagrams, Isometric drawing and General Arrangement of Piping Layout, Typical Hook up drawings for Fire dampers & field instruments.

Machinery space and engine room ventilation system design and engineering.

• Expertise in the design, planning, execution, coordination, monitoring, & site supervision.

• Independently carrying out detailed site survey and preparing scope of work, MTO at off-shore and overseas territory.

• Adept in planning & timely project execution, including commissioning & maintenance.

• Preparation of MR, TBE for client approval prior placing purchase order to vendor. .

• Independent handling of HVAC system from concept to commissioning.

• Sound exposure in making & approving Shop floor and schematic drawing. Finalizing layout & general arrangement drawings and reviewing vendor documents in line with project specification requirement.

• Complete job execution at site with the support of site supervisors and technician to ensure the equipment installation as per approved AFC/IFC drawings as part of Mechanical completion.

• Performing MC line walk along with client prior to commence the Pre-commissioning and Commissioning. .

• Performing Pre-commissioning and commissioning of HVAC system. .

• Shall hold support responsibility to all Project & Estimation teams.
