Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide 24/7 -1st Level support and monitoring in network operations field of Fixed Voice Core & IGW and IPTV within Du and managing Fixed Voice Core & IGW and IPTV Network.
Day to day efficiently monitoring IPTV Network of Head-End and Meddle ware platform on Cisco & Envivio devices. entities including NetBoss Alarms, Service Assurance Tool, NetAct, U2000, vU2020, Oracle SBC, Nokia iSBC, CRE, Genband, FMC nTAS, SubProv, SBC, BVS, HCS/HIPCC & SPS Core Nodes, EMS Application VSM NMS (Cisco), SCOM (IPTV Application Servers Monitoring), IPTV Brix vision (2000) Probe technology (EXFO) monitoring Tools.
Responsible to handle troubleshooting / Resolving Fault Management, Customer & Carrier complains, Coordination with IPTV MSP teams for the IPTV Application, efficiently communicating and effective incident handling.
Ready to exceed set of objectives by demonstrating skillful capabilities in the field of Fixed Voice Core & IGW and IPTV, network surveillance, network management (fault identification, fault management, fault analysis and fault isolation) deployment of configuration changes on the systems.
Overall responsibility of Fixed Voice Core & IGW Network and IPTV first level troubleshooting/ monitoring.
Knowledge of IGW, Fixed Voice Core and IPTV services flow and troubleshooting processes.
Knowledge of Core services flow and troubleshooting processes.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering or related field
5 years of strong telecom knowledge and experience in the following technologies:
Nokia & Huawei ATCA IGW, iSBC & U2000, Nokia FMC, HCS/HIPCC
Good knowledge of IGW network (MSoft, SBC, International Voice calls).
Good knowledge of Nokia FMC (TAS, SubProv, SBC, Voice calls).
Good knowledge of HIPCC (HCS, Oracle SBC).
Good knowledge of Diameter, SS7, SIP, CAP, SMPP, OSI Protocol stack
Good knowledge of Tracing Tools (OSIX, Polystar, vU2020, Huawei LMTs)
Good knowledge in programing and automation.
Good knowledge in agile methodology.
Must be able to work effectively in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, to prioritize, and demonstrate excellent follow-through on each task assigned.
Works well within a team and ability to build relationships cross-functionally.
Knowledge of network implementation / integration processes.
Monitoring all day-to-day activities within Service Operations Centre.
Good Liaison between SOC and other departments like Customer Services, L2 Support and Carrier partners
