Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed plumbing designs, including layouts, specifications, and calculations, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations for EPC projects.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of plumbing systems, conducting site inspections and resolving technical issues to guarantee quality and timely project completion.
  • Prepare and review technical documents, such as shop drawings, submittals, and material requisitions, to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and vendors to coordinate plumbing systems with other building systems, preventing clashes and ensuring seamless integration.
  • Conduct hydraulic calculations and simulations to optimize system performance, ensuring efficient water distribution and drainage in EPC construction settings.
  • Evaluate and select plumbing materials and equipment, considering factors such as cost, performance, and sustainability, while adhering to EPC project budgets.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams, addressing queries and resolving problems related to plumbing systems during the construction phase of EPC projects.
  • Manage project schedules and budgets related to plumbing activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget in EPC construction environments.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, new technologies, and code changes related to plumbing, continuously improving design and installation methods for EPC projects.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress reports, communicating effectively with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with project goals for EPC construction.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a focus on plumbing systems.
  • Holds relevant professional certifications, such as a Professional Engineer (PE) license, demonstrating expertise in the field.
  • Demonstrates 5+ years of experience in plumbing design and construction within the engineering/construction industry, specifically EPC projects.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of international plumbing codes and standards (e.g., IPC, UPC, ASME) and their application in various projects.
  • Showcases proficiency in using relevant software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., PipeFlow, Trace), for design and analysis.
  • Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex plumbing issues effectively.
  • Exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Possesses strong project management skills, including the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Displays a proactive and detail-oriented approach, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of plumbing design and construction.
  • Has experience working in diverse project environments, including experience in international projects, demonstrating adaptability and cultural sensitivity.
