Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Inspect tools, equipment, and systems to ensure safe and proper operation
- Carry out basic repairs related to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and painting work
- Replace light bulbs, switches, sockets, air conditioning filters, and minor fixtures
- Support maintenance of kitchen equipment, plant rooms, and utility systems
- Apply lockout and tagout procedures before performing maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inventory records
- Identify safety hazards and report faults according to hotel procedures
- Support energy efficiency initiatives and equipment performance improvements
- Use basic computer systems for maintenance reporting and temperature adjustments
Desired Candidate Profile
High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in general maintenance or building services preferred
- Hotel or hospitality maintenance experience is an advantage
- Basic technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of handling tools, equipment, and routine maintenance duties
- Strong awareness of safety, quality, and service standards
