Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all on-site erection activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement detailed erection methodologies, including lifting plans, rigging arrangements, and equipment selection, optimizing safety and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and resources for erection activities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and rectify any safety hazards, quality issues, or non-compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate erection progress reports, including daily/weekly reports, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the erection team, resolving technical issues and ensuring efficient execution of erection tasks.
  • Manage and control the erection budget, monitoring costs, and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.
  • Review and approve erection-related drawings, calculations, and method statements submitted by contractors, ensuring technical accuracy and constructability.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies throughout the erection process.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing updates on erection progress, discussing potential challenges, and collaborating with the project team to find solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Holds relevant certifications such as PMP, or equivalent, demonstrating project management expertise.
  • Exhibits a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in site erection within the EPC construction sector, with a focus on large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrates a strong command of erection techniques, including steel structures, piping, equipment installation, and commissioning.
  • Shows proficiency in using relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, and other project management software.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Exhibits strong leadership qualities, able to motivate and guide a team towards achieving project goals and deadlines.
  • Possesses a proactive approach to problem-solving, able to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to safety, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members at all times.
