Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Review tender documents, technical specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical works.
  • Carry out detailed quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and pricing of electrical materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted works.
  • Prepare tender submissions, BOQs, and cost proposals within deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and updated pricing.
  • Coordinate with procurement and technical teams for vendor quotations and material specifications.
  • Analyze project risks, identify cost variances, and suggest value engineering alternatives.
  • Support the project team with estimation-related data during execution.
  • Maintain an updated database of material costs, suppliers, and subcontractor rates.
  • Participate in pre- and post-tender clarifications, negotiations, and meetings with clients/consultants.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in estimation and tendering for electrical projects in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, design standards, and UAE regulations.
  • Good supplier base and strong vendor/subcontractor relationship management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word), AutoCAD, and estimation software.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
