Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs for marine and coastal projects.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for marine, port, and coastal infrastructure works.
Conduct quantity take-offs for dredging, piling, quay walls, breakwaters, jetties, revetments, and related structures.
Estimate costs for marinas, pontoons, berthing systems, and associated marine facilities.
Plan and estimate marine logistics including barges, tugboats, cranes, marine equipment, and material transport.
Evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations for marine works, materials, and services.
Prepare and support technical and commercial proposal submissions.
Participate in site visits and feasibility assessments to validate quantities, methods, and logistical constraints.
Support tender handover, pricing strategies, and value engineering initiatives.
Coordinate with internal engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
5–7 years’ experience in marine/civil estimation; UAE/GCC experience preferred
Strong technical knowledge of:
Quay walls, jetties, marinas, pontoons, berthing systems
Breakwaters, revetments, dredging and coastal protection works
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and relevant estimation tools/software.
Familiarity with UAE marine suppliers, subcontractors, and local market rates.
Strong analytical, numerical, and reporting skills.
Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines.
