Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Tendering & Estimation

  • Review RFQ documents including BOQ, specifications and drawings.

  • Perform quantity take offs from drawings using AutoCAD.

  • Prepare cost estimates and pricing sheets for commercial kitchen and stainless steel fabrication projects.

  • Prepare tender submissions and prequalification documents.

  • Update offers based on post-tender clarifications (PTC).

  • Maintain records of tender documents and revisions.

Technical & Documentation

  • Prepare technical submittals and compliance statements.

  • Prepare RFIs related to specifications and drawing clarifications.

  • Prepare variation costings with proper substantiation.

Supplier & Procurement Coordination

  • Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotations and technical data.

  • Collect and compare supplier quotations for pricing analysis.

  • Negotiate to obtain the best possible discount from suppliers.

  • Follow up with vendors for competitive pricing.

  • Verify specifications and payment terms in orders.

  • Maintain supplier database and quotation records.

Internal Coordination

  • Support the Estimation manager in daily estimation activities.

  • Maintain estimation logs, costing sheets and procurement trackers.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

  • 2–3 years of experience as an Estimator in commercial kitchen projects.

  • Experience in reading MEP and kitchen equipment drawings.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD for quantity take-off.

  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel (formulas, costing sheets, comparisons).

  • Good understanding of BOQ, specifications and tender documentation.

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.

  • Attention to detail and documentation discipline.

  • Good communication and coordination skills.

  • Ability to work under deadlines during tender submissions.
