Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Estimation & Tendering
- Review tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
- Estimate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Develop detailed cost breakdowns and competitive pricing sheets.
- Identify and propose value engineering solutions to reduce costs.
2. Vendor Coordination
- Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets.
- Build and maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships.
- Update pricing database and track market rates.
3. Technical & Commercial Support
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and technical discussions when required.
- Clarify discrepancies and raise RFIs for missing or unclear details.
- Support management during bid finalization, negotiations, and post-tender clarifications.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare tender submission documents, compliance statements, and cost summaries.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of tenders as per client deadlines.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, vendor quotations, and historical cost data.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of UAE experience as an MEP Estimator in a construction company.
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
- Experience in high-rise buildings and villa projects preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation tools.
- Strong understanding of UAE codes, standards, and market pricing.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and technical interpretation skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict tender deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive team player.
